Sam spent his college years and all his working life developing the trade skills and specialised product knowledge which he now passes on to customers. He originally trained in Furniture Design and Cabinet Making, completing 2 courses, prior to working in specialist joinery workshops before undertaking various design and build projects. Sam decided to combine all his experience and specific skills into fitting wooden window shutters and blinds, initially for other companies, then as a small independent supplier. With dedicated knowledge and attention toward customer care at the forefront, Open 'N' Shut was formed during 1999, and in 2005 changed the name to www.opennshut.co.uk to reflect its online trading. Sam still takes full responsibility for the overall running of the company, personally dealing with customers, measuring and fitting specialised requirements, training other fitters and updating the technical advice which forms the uniquely customer-focused website. |
