About Sam Dunster
I dedicate my time to helping and advising customers, whether you require shutters for a basic window, UPVC bays, French / Patio doors, tracks for large openings or specialised one-off designs.
I spent my college years and all my working life developing the trade skills and specialised product knowledge which I now pass on to my customers. I originally trained in Furniture Design and Cabinet Making, completing 2 courses, prior to working in specialist joinery workshops, before undertaking various design and build projects.
I decided to combine all my experience and specific skills into fitting shutters and blinds, initially for other companies, then as a small independent supplier. With my dedicated knowledge and attention toward customer care at the forefront, I formed Open 'N' Shut during 1999 and in 2005 changed the name to www.opennshut.co.uk to reflect my online trading requirements
I take full responsibility for the overall running of the company, personally dealing with customers, measuring and fitting specialised requirements, training other fitters and updating the technical advice which forms the uniquely customer-focussed website. The website has been devised to provide personal knowledge, experience and insight of the best options, directly to the customer, as if I am “in the room.”
