You will require the same amount of shutter frames as you have individual bay sections.
A typical 3 sided bay would have 3 individual shutter frames, one at the front and one at each side, so that the DIY shutters at the front will fold against the side windows of the bay.
Choosing bays on the order form
If you have a 3 section bay, on the order form select ‘3’ for ‘Bays’ and 3 separate boxes will appear to allow you to enter in your bay widths. Only one height is required for bay windows.
Folding
DIY shutters look at their best if they fold away from the centre of the window, for example the left side window would fold to the left, the centre window would open left and right and the right side window would fold to the right. Tick ‘customise your window’ to select individual folding requirements for your bay on the order form.
For further information on folding for bay windows, view Folding in the DIY section or browse through the slideshows.

Handles
Most UPVC bay windows have handles, so battens will need to be ordered to space the frames and louvres away from the handles.
Plastic trim
Trim around a UPVC window can be removed as the battens will cover any gaps. Battens can also be rebated to fit over any small protruding trim.
Angles
If required, angled battens can be made to suit your bay window.
Templates
Take photos of your templates in position and upload them into your account for Sam to check.
Stick the templates down to the window sill for accurate measuring for DIY shutters.
