A T-Post will divide your shutter frame into sections, to help support indoor shutters being installed in wide windows or openings. The post will be the same design as the outer supporting frame.
You can use T-Post’s to match your window layout or to order shutter widths of over 2200mm.
T-Post’s are screwed into the shutter frame through the top and bottom of the frame. Indoor shutters can be hinged from the posts or the posts can be used as dividers.
Measurements
As this is a specialist option and may require advice from Sam, the option is hidden on the order form.
To unlock the TPost option on the order form enter the code ‘a7’ in the special option code box on the right hand side of the order form. Then choose ‘Customise your window options’ on the order form to enter your TPost measurements. Measure from the far left hand side of your window to the centre of each post.
Example
A window that is 1800mm wide (with no shadow gap) fitted with 3 T-Post’s equally would be measured as follows:
L = 450, C = 900, R = 1350mm.
If you require 4 panels folding equally LLRR, enter your folding details in the notes box as follows:
L – T – L – T – R – T – R.
Shadow gap
5mm will be deducted from your measurements when ordering a shadow gap.
Pre-assemble the shutter frame and indoor shutters on the floor to adjust the position of the T-Post’s before you lift the frame into the window.
Lifting can be a two man job for large windows so mind the frame does not twist when moving.
