What happens during an internal shutters fitting
When fitting internal shutters for you we do our best to work professionally and tidily, and minimise disruption to your life and home. The fitters pride themselves on the service they provide.
Before the fitting
Before your fitter arrives you should make sure the window area is clear of any existing curtains, blinds, furniture or ornaments. This enables your fitter to get straight to work.
Your fitter will arrive with your shutters, unless they make specific arrangements with you in advance to have them delivered straight to you. They will be carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit and will be unpacked in the work area, to minimise opportunities for damage.
Preparation and Fitting
Your fitter will prepare the window area, installing battens to space your shutters away from window handles for UPVC double glazed windows or making sure the surface the shutters will be fixed to are ready.
The fitter will assemble and fit your shutters in their own frame, which gives your fitted internal shutters a fully finished appearance. They will then check that everything is in full working order before putting any finishing touches to your shutters or the window area.
Fitting Timescale
The fitter can give you an indication of the time required for the fitting, however, if it is a bay, shaped window or there are a number of windows this may take a full day. Usually the fitter will prefer to arrive early to ensure there is plenty of time to complete the task without having to rush.
Most fitters work best when fueled by tea and biscuits.
After the Fitting
At the end of your fitting your fitter will remove any waste packaging and materials, leaving you with a clear area. All our products are guaranteed, and your fitter will be able to explain this to you.
