S:Craft shutters

SCraft Shutters I choose to supply SCraft shutters, and have been proud to do so for many years. I started working with SCraft, formerly Shuttercraft, as my main shutter supplier when they were still in the early stages of setting up their supply chain, as I was impressed by the quality of the product and the service they were offering.

Since this time we have developed our relationship, and I am now one of their Master Partners. I work closely with them to provide feedback on their products, and often have opportunities to discuss potential changes or updates prior to them taking place. I also work closely with their logistics department to ensure
that we provide a swift delivery service to our DIY and fitted customers, and their efficient team help to aid my customers by processing orders quickly, providing detailed drawings of unusual windows and monitoring customer service. Their marketing department also help by giving regular updates and advance warning of offers so that I can let customers know, and plan my sales and promotions.

I believe quality is the key, and the S Craft products are in my opinion some of the best on the market as they are:

  • Engineered to add strength and prevent warping and twisting
  • Use mortise and tennon joints
  • Include UV inhibitors in the paint finish to prevent discolouration
  • Available in a variety of materials to suit not only a range of budgets, but more importantly a range of uses and rooms
  • Supplied in their own frames for easy fitting and a professionally finished look
  • Thicker components making for a more stable strong and durable product

Shutters are made in a variety of places around the world, however, many contain components made in China and are assembled in the country they are sold in.  For example, this is the case with a number of companies who advertise that their products are made in the UK.  In my experience the components are not of high quality, as they are not as thick, are not engineered and the joints used are inferior to mortise and tennon.

The supply chain that S:Craft and I work with is also swift, and it’s always pleasing to telephone people to say that their shutters are in early.  We prefer to quote the industry lead time and then delight with an early delivery, than promise a delivery just to win a sale when we know it’s unrealistic.

I plan to continue to supply SCraft shutters for the foreseeable future, and should you have any queries I would be happy to discuss with you the benefits of their products.
