Basswood shutters for ITV 60 Minute Makeover

The final results of my 5th ITV 60 Minute Makeover Show, this time in Huddersfield. I supplied plantation shutters for a UPVC window and a Patio door.

For the UPVC window, I matched the window layout, and knowing the designer John Amabile wanted a modern look, I chose 3 full height shutter panels without a horizontal rail. These were fitted to battens to space them away from the window handles. For the Patio doors, I decided on 4 plantation shutters, folding 2 left and 2 right. Due to the height of the door these required a horizontal rail for strength.

I used the Basswood plantation shutters to keep the weight down, with medium size louvres (64mm), finished in the most popular colour of silk white, to match the window colour.
