Like two kids at Christmas - that's the only way I could describe the reaction of my partner and I when we noticed the delivery van carrying our new opennshut.co.uk shutters arrive at our front door. | He had already read up on the easy-to-follow instructions sent by email from Sam the day before, so had a good idea on what lay in store. He started, as suggested, by pairing up the boxes so we knew which parts were intended for each window. I watched with anticipation as he unpacked the first shutters - my excitement had reached crescendo levels as I surveyed the beautifully crafted shutters. They were just as I expected, having lingered on Sam's website for hours a few weeks earlier to ensure we were making the right choice. We had chosen satin white craftwood shutters to bounce sunlight into the room and to give our recessed bay window maximum impact. The shutters were intended as one of the main features in our minimalist living room. Though it was well worth the wait. The finished effect gives the room a traditional yet contemporary twist. No fuss, no fabric, just sheer indulgence.
