If you live in London, then fitting shutters on your windows will provide some visual security for your home.

Most shutters remain closed, it’s only the louvre blades that are adjusted to let the light in and out.  This means you can benefit from added security all day long.  If you adjust the louvres, it’s very hard to see in your room or to know if you’re in or out.  London shutters are a good idea when your house is right on the street or you have a path right outside your window.

Shutters can now be fitted with small locks or bolts. These are not designed for security, but they will help provide a deterrent and in some cases allow you leave the window open a little with added peace of mind that the shutters can not just be pushed open.
