Another new page recently added to the website is about faux plantation shutters. I tend not to refer to my products using the term ‘faux’ as in my opinion what I offer is not a faux product but an alternative to wood.
Many people looking for something by this name will be seeking a cheaper alternative to the wooden shutter products, however, the faux or MDF product I offer is a durable and hardwearing option. It is also the best option for rooms such as the bathroom or kitchen, as the finish incorporates a plastic finish which will resist the moisture and heat in these areas more effectively than wood. This is the most popular DIY item I supply, as it’s cost-effective, but is easy to fit as like all my products it is supplied in its own frame.
The appearance of the faux plantation shutters is the same as my wooden items, and few people would know the difference between them unless they look closely. While they are slightly heavier, and therefore not suitable for large or wide openings, they are ideal for windows in most homes or offices. The colour range is slightly limited, as it is only available in three shades of white, however, these are the most popular colours I sell.
If you have any queries about faux plantation shutters I would recommend you view either the DIY or fitted shutter sections on my website, register an account or just call me with your question.
