This is the first of 3 blogs I am going to write explaining how to measure, fit battens and then fit shutters to a typical UPVC double glazed window.
DIY shutters are proving very popular and lots of customers are wanting to order themselves and save some money. However, windows vary in size, shape and design so knowing how and where to measure is important.
I made some videos last year explaining how to measure, and fit the battens and shutters to a UPVC window. They proved very useful and I have had some great feedback from them.
Today’s blog is about measuring. The most important task when undertaking DIY shutters, if you get the measuring correct the shutters will fit, it’s that simple.
The best way for me to explain how to measure is for you to watch the video below. If you have any questions feel free to leave me some feedback on my blog or email me some photos of your windows for some advice.
