Shapes - Wooden shutters can be shaped to suit your windows
IMPORTANT - The design is key to how your shutters look, ensure the design of your shutters matched the window layout, so if you have 3 section window, use 3 shutters. If your window has a horizontal rail, match a rail in the shutters.
The horizontal middle rail divides the louvre blades in half and allows the louvre blades to be operated independently either side of that middle rail.
Heights over these sizes will require a rail for strength:
Note: If you choose not to have a rail on a shutter over this height it will not be guaranteed.
From the height you provide, the position of the horizontal rail can vary by half a louvre to allow the maximum number of louvres per shutter height.
Rails are 15.9mm thick x 76mm wide
Measure from the window sill up to the centre of where you would like the rail.
Remember to deduct any fitting clearance if you are ordering exact frame sizes.
Note: The final rail position can vary as much as half a louvre.
Control rods are used to operate your louvre blades, they connect your louvres together to make tilting them easy. You can choose from a visible rod or a hidden built-in mechanism. We recommend hidden control rods for:
Enter the height from the bottom of the frame to the centre of where you would like the mechanism to be split.
Note, the final position of this split can vary as much as half a louvre.
Enter the height from the bottom of the shutter frame up to the point you would like the shutters split. Remember to deduct the clearance height you left between the frame and window sill.
Widths smaller than 1219mm can have a horizontal dividing Tpost fitted between the two tiers. Heights entered should be from the bottom of the shutter frame to the center of the Tpost.
Tposts are 57mm wide, so if you want the top edge of the Tpost to be inline with your split height deduct 28mm from your measurment.
Select the design of shape you have.
Standard MDF shutters can only be made with angled designs, if you need arched or circular designs you will need to choose Elite shutters.
Enter the height from the bottom of the frame to height your angle starts at, ie the height where the orange arrow is pointing to in the photo.
Shaped designs incur a surcharge, that surcharge allows for up to 2 shaped panels within your design so if you have more than 2 shaped panels, please enter the number of extra shaped panels you need. (Example, for 3 shaped panels within your design, 2 would be part of the surcharge so you would need to select 1 extra panel)
For complex shaped designs, you can enter the key outer dimensions of your shape here. You can also upload a drawing of the shape you require on the last step.
Select the folding you require.
L = Left opening shutter T = Vertical Tpost R = Right opening shutter Other = If you require a different folding style
Note: Custom folding might not be guaranteed or possible to manufacture and will require checking.
Angled bay posts allow the shutter frame to be fitted around the shape of the window and can be ordered to match the angle of each section.
Bay posts fit between the top and bottom frame and separate the shutter panels. They require two people to fit them and are designed for professional fitting so currently there are no fitting guides for this system.
Please ensure you have spoken to us before measuring and ordering bay posts.
Shutter frames come in various depths and can include buildouts, so there are two ways you can measure for a bay post, either the back or front edge of the frame.
Back edge - i.e. close to the window. Front edge - if there is plastic trim around the window and you have made paper templates.
Corner posts allow the shutter frame to be fitted around a square bay window.
Corners posts fit between the top and bottom frame and separate the shutter panels. They require two people to fit them and are designed for professional fitting so currently there are no fitting guides for this system.
Please ensure you have spoken to us before measuring and ordering corner posts.
Shutter frames come in various depths and can include buildouts, so there are two ways you can measure for a corner post, either the back or front edge of the frame.

Choose from the traditional beaded design or simple flat modern design. There is no price difference.
Standard stiles are 40mm wide, as standard side stiles will be rebated on bi-folding shutters and butt stiles on single panels.
40mm Rebate - The standard option with bi-folding shutters, a neat interlocking design
40mm Butt - Standard with single shutters (flat design)
40mm Dmould - An optional Dmould (curved trim) fits over the joint between two shutters to reduce light. The trim does protrude from the front of the shutters so the preferred modern look is the standard rebated stile.
Upgrade - 50mm stiles are wider and stronger and can be used for larger windows and doors to add strength to wide shutters.
Track mounted shutters come with 50mm butt stiles with side magnets between them to help keep the shutters flat when closed.
Side magnets can be fitted between shutters to keep the shutters closed where they meet, typically used for shutters with 3 sided frames when there is no bottom stop to fit magnets on.
If you're using these on a doorway, the Meeting Stiles can be a Butt design with side magnets, and any bi-folding shutters will still be rebated.
76mm and 89mm louvres are popular sizes and will reflect the most light into your room.
Pure White is by far our most popular colour, it's the brightest white and will reflect plenty of light into your room.
If you have older traditional sash windows, you might want to consider Silk White, it's slightly softer and will blend with older paint.
Select your hinge colour.
For White, Pearl or Bisque shutters, we advise matching the hinge to the shutter colour.
If your choosing a custom colour or stain, chrome or brass would be a better choice.
Stainless steel hinges come as standard with ABS waterproof shutters.
Frames come mitred at the corners with the hinges and magnet back plates all pre-fitted.
L Frame - Designed for fitting inside the recess
Z Frame - Designed for fitting at the front of the recess
Deco Frame - Designed for inward opening windows
Blackout Frames - Come with a built-in blackout blind
No Frames - Shutters only, with or without hinges fitted
Hang Strips - Simple thin frames with no light stops
